Power of Community
As I get older, I am realising how important it is to have meaningful relationships with people who you can laugh, cry, and evolve with. For the first time in a very long time, I felt overwhelmed. I cannot pinpoint to a specific incident. It was more a product of multiple things that led to the feeling that it was too much. Am grateful for having the ability to be aware, detect it, and raise my concerns to people who I trust. As someone who is unlearning that inner healing is more important than image management, I was grateful for the impromptu phone calls and dinner dates with friends. We are all trying to conquer this thing called life and while some people can appear to “have it all”, know that it is okay to acknowledge your feelings, process them, and remind yourself that this too shall pass. As a stereotypical type A, I always want to know how to quickly overcome my challenges but I am learning that some seasons will last longer than we would like them to. However, the key is to make sure that you have people in your life who you can lean on. Life was meant for us to grow, give back, and love.
